The Voltage Modular Miniverse Poly Oscillator super accurately replicates the famously brawny sounds of the original Mini. It's functionally identical to the standard mono version, but has up to 16-voice polyphony via its poly jacks.
Inputs, Outputs, and Controls
Range- Sets the pitch range for each oscillator in octaves. These are at standard organ footage settings of 32', 16', 8', 4', and 2', as well as a Lo sub-audio setting.
Waveform- Allows selection of oscillator waveforms, including triangle, triangle/ramp combo (aka, "shark tooth," ramp, square, wide pulse, or narrow pulse.
Poly Pitch CV- Accepts a 1V/octave CV input for pitch. Typically this would come from the Poly Pitch jack in the IO Panel Poly Sources section, or from any other poly source in Voltage Modular.
Frequency- This can be used to fatten up two oscillator patches by detuning a small amount, or for "building-in" a set interval. Its range is a smidge over a fifth, up or down.
Modulation input 1/2 input jack and attenuverter-- These are used for externally modulating the oscillator frequency. They're useful for adding vibrato, siren noises, envelope-controlled pitch sweeps, etc. The mod amount knobs are bipolar- center position is off; turning the knob to the right applies positive modulation, and turning to the left applies negative modulation.
The first modulation input is for polyphonic sources, and allows each oscillator voice to be independently modulated. The second modulation input is mono, and applies modulation equally to all voices.
Poly Signal Output- The oscillator output signal.
